Packages are shipped monthly and normally take 8-10 weeks to arrive from the day that you receive your membership confirmation email. |

 |
Why hasn't my package arrived? |
| |
LPU packages are shipped monthly. Headquarters sends an order to the warehouse and it's out of Admin's hands from there. The efficiency of the warehouse and the postal service both contribute to how quickly (or slowly) your package reaches you.
If you have not received your package within 10 weeks since the date you received your membership confirmation email, then please go back to http://support.lpunderground.com and submit a ticket for us to review.

I am an International member and I haven't received my package yet. It has been 10 weeks. |
| |
International Orders will take a bit longer to receive. Please understand that the International packages have to pass through their country's Customs before they can be delivered. Some may make it through Customs faster than others and Customs has the right to hold any package for an unspecified amount of time. The LP Underground has no control over this. We do out best to get you your package as efficiently as possible. |

| |
The following are error codes you may have experienced if you used a credit card to join LPU: "0" = approved (no error, card went through)
"1" = user authentication failed.
"2" = Invalid tender type (your merchant bank does not support the following credit card type that was submitted).
"10" = Too many line items.
"11" = Client time-out waiting for response.
"12" = Declined (make sure the credit card number and information were entered correctly).
"13" = Referral (transaction was declined but could still be approved with a verbal authorization from the bank that issued the card).
"23" = Invalid credit card number (be sure to enter numbers carefully and accurately).
"24" = Invalid credit card expiration date.
"ONN" or "ONY" = The value submitted (your street address, zip code, etc.) does NOT match the billing info on file with your credit card company. Your billing info must be consistent with what you have entered. Try again and be sure all info is consistent with your current billing information. |

Have you received my payment? |
| |
It takes a while for mail-in payments to get to us just because of the nature of the postal system and the amount of time it takes for us to actually enter them. Please allow 8-10 weeks for your mail-in payment to be processed. If you have not received your package within that time, please submit a support ticket. |

I'm from the UK and my Credit Card is not being accepted. . .what's the problem? |
| |
Make sure you enter your postal code EXACTLY how it is shown on your credit card billing statement. If that doesn’t work try taking off the first two letters. You can also try entering your postal code without any spaces.
If our site is still unable to process your payment, please either contact our billing support by submitting a support ticket or send your payment in via regular mail.
We apologize for any inconvenience.

If you are experiencing problems using your linkinpark.com email, please check the following to see if you have email forwarding enabled: Go to my LPU after logging in at www.lpunderground.com. Make sure you DO NOT have your linkinpark.com email listed in the text box and/or the "enable email forwarding" box to the left of that checked. Your email @linkinpark.com WILL NOT work if you do. |

 |
Why can't I log into the site? |
| |
Make sure that you are entering your password with the correct capitalization. The system is case sensitive so make sure you are entering it just as you did when you first signed up for LPU membership. If that doesn't work please try clearing your temporary internet files, history, and your cookies and/or upgrading your Internet Explorer to version 6.0. Also note there are times when the site is down for repairs. Usually this is very temporary. |

Can I change my username? |

What are the rules of the Message Board? |
| |
1. Do not flame anyone on the boards. Flaming includes insulting, belittling, or
saying ANYTHING inappropriate, even if it is done in a joking manner.
2. Never threaten anyone, including LPU staff, board members and the band themselves. Doing so will result in instant ban.
3. Do not discuss the personal lives of the band members. All threads doing so will be instantly deleted.
4. Do not create signatures/threads that change the formatting of threads/boards.
5. Please keep signatures to the guideline-size or smaller. (To see an the appropriate signature length go to: http://www.csulb.edu/~jhart/siglength.jpg)
6. Posts must be made in appropriate forums. (e.g. If you are going to post about your goldfish, do so in High Command instead of The Underground)
7. Do not post anything with graphic sexual content.
8.Do not flood the forums. (flooding = repeat posting)
9.Do not ask for a title or to become a Moderator. LPU Message Board staff will let members know when positions become available. Your post count and reputation on the MB will help us determine who should be considered as a candidate.
10.Do not disrespect the LPU Staff. Please respect their work and be patient.
11.Threads will be closed after 2000 posts, at which point you are welcome to create a new thread on the same topic.
12.If you have questions or concerns about the rules, please contact a Moderator.
KEEP THE MATERIAL APPROPRIATE. Remember that there are a lot of users on here under 18 years of age. Mods/Admin reserve the right to delete posts/threads and warn users based on anything they deem inappropriate. In other words, keep all pornography, nude pictures, or any discussions sexual in nature OFF the boards or you will risk being banned.
As of right now, the rule is: 3 warnings = banning for unspecified amount of time. If anyone has any questions regarding these rules, you may contact Mods. They will be more than happy to expand on any of the rules that are unclear.

What is a Private Message (PM) and how do I send one? |
| |
A private message is a message that one user can directly send to another user without having anyone else read it. It's like an instant message/email for when you browse the boards.
To turn on your private message option, click here. Scroll down to the "Messaging & Notification Section" and at "Enable Private Messages," check "Yes". Then you can go on to choose if you want to be notified via email or popup window or both or none when you receive one. |

|
 |
What are Moderators (Mods) and who are they? Can I be a Mod? |
| |
The Moderators of the message board keep the boards clean. They move/edit/close threads and make sure that the moral of the boards is always positive. They are the mediators in arguments and enforce the message board's rules.
Currently LPU has the following users moderating the boards:
Catempy, dereklp, Energy, HybridLP, linkinparkdiva, LPHybrid, Magnolia9 & xLPdoodx.
All of these users have the ability to assist you with any message board problems so please feel free to contact them if you have any questions or problems.
If you are ever interested in learning more about Mods or how to become one, please contact a current Mod and ask them for more information.

What is an Avatar and how can I get one? |
| |
An avatar is the picture below your screen name on the message board. Also referred to as: icon, buddy icon, pic below your name.
You need to get 100 posts to get an avatar. Once you get 100 posts, you go to: MY PROFILE then to "EDIT OPTIONS" then you scroll down to the bottom. After that press "Edit Avatar." Once you're there, you can either upload a pic from your computer, or you can link a pic from the internet. But remember: these pics have to be 50x50 pixels or 20K bytes (whichever is smaller), so be sure to edit your pictures first.

|
 |
Why can't I post on the boards? |
| |
I keep getting this message:
"You do not have permission to access this page." This could be due to one of several reasons:
1. You do not have permission to access the page that you were trying to. Are you trying to edit someone else's post or trying to access administrative features? Check that you are allowed to perform this action in the Forum Rules.
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
====
An administrator or Super Mod may have put you on "read-only" for your actions on the boards. If you feel the ban was a mistake, please contact one of the Message Board Mods via email (their Username@linkinpark.com).

What are the Chat Rules? |
| |
1. Be respectful and keep it appropriate (no sexual content permitted in chats, no homosexual slurs, no flaming of other users)
2. Do not type in all caps or color. These will set off Operator's scripts that will remove you from the chat room.
3. Do not flood the channel
(Typing the same thing, or similar things, more than 3 times in a row)
4. Do not try and sign on as band members (instant ban), threaten band members, or anyone else.
The chat operators reserve the right to deem what is appropriate and what is not. If you have a problem with one of them, please try approaching them to work the issue out. They'd rather work out issues than have unhappy members.
|
| |

|
 |
What are Operators (OPs), who are they, and how can I tell them from another user? |
| |
The Chat Operators enforce the rules of the chat room like how the Message Board Moderators enforce the MB rules.
The current chat OPs are: LPHybrid, NdubIV, DjXtc, JonandBT & Gemz.
Other people that may have OPs include Sparkart Admin, LPU Admin, Linkin Park Band Members, well known family and friends of Band Members.

How do I do the chat smilies? |
| |
The Chat Smilies are as follows:
:) = regular smile
;-) = a winking smile
:( = Mad
:-| = Sad
:-/ = Rolling Eyes
B-) = "cool"
:o = Grin (with teeth)
|
| |
Top
|
 |
Why so many rules? |
| |
The rules we enforce are necessary due to problems we have had with members in the past. The LP Underground staff does not wish to restrict its chatting members so much, but the rules listed above are essential to keeping the chat safe and fun for everyone.
We wouldn’t have the rules we have without a legitimate reason.

How much is an LPU Membership? |
| |
As with the past, we do our best to keep the fee low for all LP Underground members. We feel that members get a lot for their money here at the LPU, not only with a valuable package, but with all of the additional benefits and perks as well.
Because it costs a lot more to ship overseas, International memberships are slightly more expensive than domestic memberships. In addition to the LP UNDERGROUND 7 and LP UNDERGROUND 7 BONUS memberships, we also offer the ONLINE PASS as a less expensive alternative for those who are interested in LP but cannot afford the full membership at this time. Please note that ONLINE PASS members can easily UPGRADE their account to a full membership at any time.
The pricing structure is as follows:
LP UNDERGROUND 7 PASS is US$23 plus Shipping and Handling
LP UNDERGROUND 7 BONUS PASS is US$33 + Shipping and Handling
US, Canada, and Mexico S&H = $5 additional
All Other Countries S&H = $12 additional
(please allow 8-10 weeks for package delivery)
ONLINE ONLY PASS is US$15 (No shipping & handling charge)

What is a Meet and Greet? |
| |
Either before or after MOST Linkin Park concerts, randomly selected LPU members will have the opportunity to attend a 'Meet and Greet' with the band. At the Meet and Greet, the Linkin Park band members will sit behind a table and LPU members will get to meet the band and get ONE item signed. |
| |
Top
|
 |
How will I know when a Meet and Greet is happening at my Linkin Park concert? |

Meet and Greets are usually announced via Email and on the LPU news page. Check your email and the news page often for all up to date information regarding LPU. |
| |

|
 |
Can I bring a friend to the Meet and Greet? |

 |
I'm signed up for a Meet and Greet. When will I know what time I should be there and where? |
| |
The Meet and Greet times are not determined until close to the date of the show. Members who are randomly selected for the Meet & Greet will receive an e-mail confirmation with full details 1-3 days before the day of the concert. |

|
 |
How will I know if I made it on the Meet and Greet list? |

|
 |
I don't live anywhere near the venue that LP will be playing at - can I still sign up for a Meet and Greet?
|
| |
Yes, you may sign up for the Meet & Greet as long as you are 100% sure that you will be attending the show and that you will be available to attend the Meet & Greet (which is usually a few hours before or after LP takes the stage).
Also be aware that submitting a Meet & Greet request does not guarantee that you will be added to the final list for a show. Only members who receive a confirmation e-mail will be on the Meet & Greet list.
|
| |
Top
|
 |
What is the final Meet and Greet list for, how do I get my name on it, and where is the list posted?
|
| |
To be considered for a Meet & Greet, you must login and click on "MORE INFO" next to the tour date that you are attending. You will need to click on "I'm Going" to be considered. You can only request if you are 100% sure that you will be attending the show (you must have your own ticket), and that you will be available for the Meet & Greet (it is usually a few hours before or after LP takes the stage). If you are randomly selected for a Meet & Greet, then you will receive a confirmation e-mail 1-3 days before the day of the show. Your name will then be on the final Meet & Greet list.
The final list is all of the confirmed names of LPU members attending a meet and greet. This list of names is sent to LPU staff before the show so that passes can be issued at the show.
Your name must be on the final list in order to attend the Meet and Greet.

 |
What do I need to pick up my pass on the day of the show?
|
| |
To claim your pass, you will need to provide the following 3 items:
1. Valid photo ID (driver's license, school ID, work ID, library card, passport, etc). Anything that is official with a picture will be accepted. If you are under the age of 13, your guardian’s photo ID will work.
2. Your ticket to the show. WE DO NOT GIVE OUT TICKETS so make sure you have our own before you pick up your pass!
3. Print out of your confirmation email.
We will let you know where to pick up your Meet & Greet pass before the show.

|
 |
What can I bring to get signed at a Meet and Greet? Can I bring more than one item to be signed? |

Each person will be allowed to have ONE, and only one, item signed by the band. Remember that you should plan to carry this item with you throughout the show as not all venues allow re-entries. Please do not bring large or bulky items. |

|
 |
Can I take pictures of/with the band?

Camera policies are subject to the venue. Please check with the venue before bringing your camera. Please also note that we are not responsible for any last minute specific security issues that may arise and change the camera policy. You may take pictures of the band members as you make your way past each of them, but you may not take pictures with the band.

I dont have a picture ID. . . what do I do? |
| |
If you do not have a picture ID you can do one of the following:
1) Get to your local DMV and get an ID (you will need this for more than just LPU events so it will be good for you to have one)
2) Upload a picture to your LPU profile and take a screen shot and print out the profile with your picture on it. That way we can see both your picture, and see that you are indeed the LPU member.

How many passes are given out per Meet & Greet? |
| |
While we do our best to make Meet & Greets available at LP shows, there is no guarantee that a Meet & Greet will take place. Availability of Meet & Greets will be announced through the News section on the LP Underground website. In addition, there is no set number of passes that are given out per Meet & Greet. It is determined on a per show basis, on a number of factors (for example: show location, venue, time, etc). |

 |
I'm over 13 and my parents wont let me go to the meet and greet alone. What can I do? |

Unfortunately, due to the popularity and exclusiveness of the Meet and Greets, the ONLY WAY your parent or an older sibling will be able to accompany someone 13 or over is to purchase their own LPU Membership, sign up for the Meet and Greet, and get on the final list themselves.
